To our dear family and friends,
It is with great sadness that we announce the 2021 Mr. Connecticut Leather contest, originally scheduled for September 11-13, 2020 in New Haven, will be cancelled due to the concerns over COVID-19. Our utmost concern will always be the safety and health of our participants and community. With that in mind, we have decided that it is in the best interest of all involved to cancel the 2021 contest and return in September of 2021 for the 2022 contest.
While we do not expect to be in quarantine in September, we understand that large gathering such as ours will be a struggle, if allowed at all; that the social distancing necessary would be very difficult to do at our host venue; and the economic hardship for our visitors and sponsors are likely to last for an extended period.
If it is safe for a small gathering in the fall, our current Mr. Connecticut Leather 2020, Mark Richards, will be able to step aside and conclude his official title year. Mark will then be invited back to participate at the 2022 contest to judge and to give a more formal step aside. Mark has graciously agreed to represent the Connecticut Leather community as a representative at events in the time being. Mark and other past Connecticut Leather title holders will host events during the interim when it is safe to do so to keep our presence visible around Connecticut and the region.
Please join Mr. Connecticut Leather 2020, Mark, and Mr. DC Eagle 2020, Justin, as they co-host a virtual S4 social in June 14, 2020.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Until then, stay safe and stay kinky! We look forward to seeing you all at the Connecticut Leather weekend in September of 2021!
